Finance Literacy Required by Law
for Pennsylvania Schools
Starting in 2026-27
On December 13th, the governor signed a new law requiring public and private schools to teach a personal finance and money management course in high school. Pennsylvania is the 25th state to require financial literacy as a graduation requirement, and it becomes law in 2026-27.
